Some more unearth rare copies of The Panthers
I'm sure all of us can remember the time we went to Cameron Highlands. Remember we tried to organised one when we were seniors and every one backed out. They had very bad impression of us. Whatever, we had our fun up at the Highlands. Remember the song please "dont go" and also handsome with the small girl?

The Headquaters in Merdeka Garden
This was the headquaters of the Pink Panthers. I really mean it, because it was the meeting place of many of the college mates. It was very safe and open to everyone. Anyone could enter and vsist or just relax there. There was music, newspapers, and the great company of the panthers. In the evening, we would gather in front of the house and wait for girls who would pass by on their way home. We would tease and advertise ourselves. Initially, there were many girls who used the road but due to our presence, they used other routes. That was our own fault. Anyway, life has to go on. We turned to other sources of entertainment. That would be in the next post.

THE PANTHERS GREAT SHOT
My New Friends
The first day of college life was really eventful. We were ’rounded up’ and put in the hall; arranged according to classes. There was a lot of noise because we were busy making friends and exchanging information. Imagine getting friends from Penang, Malacca, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, Johor and even from Ipoh itself. I never had that many friends especially from other states; besides my pen-friends.
In the same class were Chan Thian Chwee, Chow Fook Loon, Chua Cheng Lye, Chin Yew Fook, Lay Khin Loong, Harbahjan Singh, Lau Kok Hua and Vijaya Bappusamy.
Chan Thian Chwee and Chua Cheng Lye were from Malacca, Chow Fook Loon was from Ipoh (Buntong), Lay Khin Loong was from and still from Penang, Chin Yew Fook was from Seberang Jaya, Harbahjan Singh was from Negeri Sembilan, Vijaya was from Johor, while Lau Kok Hua was from Tapah Road.
The chatter, talking, laughter and the happiness were short-lived. The dreadful moment was about to begin.
All of us were told to be seated. Then we saw the Principal and some lecturers came on stage. The session was brief with a short welcoming speech from the principal and some words of advice from the lecturers. They left the hall and we were now in the hands of the seniors.
